Let’s Go Global: Coolest Projects 2025 is Open for Entries!
Calling all Code Clubs! Coolest Projects Online is now open to submissions from any young person up to 18 years old, from anywhere in the world and we’d love to see Code Club projects from across the motu featured in this global celebration. Whether you’re entering solo or as a team, we’re here to back you all the way!
Have you ever built something you’re really proud of at Code Club and thought “I need to share this with the world”. Well, now is your chance!
Coolest Projects Online 2025 is officially open, and we want to see Code Clubs from all over Aotearoa stepping up to the global stage. Whether you’re beginning your journey with coding or you have multiple Scratch, Python, Raspberry Pi or any other Digital Technology projects under your belt, Coolest Projects is the perfect opportunity to showcase your mahi to the world.
What is Coolest Projects?
Coolest Projects isn’t a competition, it’s a worldwide celebration of creativity, innovation and digital superpowers; a global tech showcase where young creators share digital projects they’ve made using code. From games to gadgets, animations to apps, if you’ve built it, you can share it!

Why should you enter?
Because it’s a great opportunity to represent Aotearoa and share your unique creations with the world. Even if you’re still building your skills, it’s a chance to try something new, get inspired and share your interests and passions with a global community of coders. Plus you can join the celebration livestream and receive certificates and personalised feedback!

Make music and a light display with micro:bit to showcase Matariki
Leshan from Aotearoa has already submitted two games in Scratch for Coolest Projects 2025- Balloon Pop Game and World Maze! You can check out other creations from Aotearoa in the online gallery here. And don’t forget, both the Digital Pīkau and Code Club projects and pathways are packed with creative challenges you can remix and build upon for Coolest Projects.
